From the early 13th century to the mid-19th century, Delhi was the capital of the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire. The city has three UNESCO World Heritage Sites from this period, the Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb and the Red Fort.

The complex showcases Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture from ancient and modern times. The temple is a major attraction in Delhi, with over 234 carved pillars, 9 domes, 20 quadrangle spires, and 20,000 sculptures of Indian spiritual figures.

The temple is open from 10 AM–6:30 PM, and is closed on Mondays. Mandir Aarti takes place from 10 AM–6 PM.

2. Lotus Temple:-

The Lotus Temple is a Baháʼí House of Worship in New Delhi, India. It's known for its lotus-like shape and is one of seven Bahá'í temples in the world. Lotus Temple is open from 8:30 am to 5 pm from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Monday. You do not need a ticket in advance. The Lotus Temple is 34 meters high and was designed by Fariborz Sahba.

3. ISKCON Temple:-

ISKCON Temple in Delhi, also known as Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathy Temple. It is one of the largest temple complexes in India. The temple opened in 1998 and was designed and built by Achyut Kanvinde. The temple's dress code is "Bhakti", which means a clean mind filled with love and compassion. 

The temple is known for its Bhagavad Gita Animatronics, Mahabharata Light and Sound Show and Ramayana Art Gallery. It also contains the astonishing Bhagavad Gita, considered the greatest religious book ever printed.

3. Bira Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple):-

The Laxmi Narayan Temple, also known as Birla Mandir, is a Hindu temple in Delhi, India. It was built in 1939 by industrialists BD Birla and his son JK Birla. The temple is dedicated to Laxmi, the goddess of prosperity, and Narayana, the preserver. 

The temple is located on Mandir Marg near Connaught Place and is open every day from 4:30 AM–1:30 PM and 2:30–9 PM. 

4. Shree Hanuman Temple:-

Shree Hanuman Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in Connaught Place, New Delhi. The temple is said to be one of the five temples from the Mahabharata era in Delhi. The temple is known for its unique worship method, which involves 24-hour hymn chanting. This practice is said to be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

5. Chhatarpur Temple:-

Chhatarpur Temple, also known as Shri Aadya Katyayani Shakti Peetha Temple, is a Hindu temple in New Delhi. It is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani, who is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple complex is said to be the second largest in India, spread over 60 acres. 

It was established in 1974 by Sant Shree Nagpal Baba. The temple is known for its Dravidian and Nagara architectural styles and is made from marble.

The Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila, is a historic fort in Delhi, India. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648 and served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors. The fort is 108 feet above Old Delhi and is octagonal in shape. It's named for the red sandstone used in its construction.

The Red Fort is one of India's most important monuments. Every year on Independence Day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag from the fort's ramparts. The Rang Mahal, which is part of the women's quarters, is thought to have been a resort for royal women. 

3. Qutub Minar:-

Qutub Minar is a minaret and "victory tower" that is part of the Qutub complex, it was established by the Tomar Rajputs in Delhi. Which was mostly constructed between 1199 and 1220. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli region of South Delhi, India.

Qutub Minar is a monumental example of architecture that reflects the rich history and cultural heritage of the region. Standing at an impressive height of 73 metres, this red sandstone tower is a true marvel. Built in the early 13th century, it is a perfect example of the Indo-Islamic style of architecture.

4. Rashtrapati Bhavan:-

The Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi is a central government office and tourist attraction. It's a 55-meter-tall Neoclassical building that opened in 1929 and was designed by Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. The main building has 340 rooms spread across four floors and covers an area of 5 acres.

 The Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum is located in what was once the stables and garage of the building. It features gifts and documents from India's presidents and a display of Indian history.

5. Jantar Mantar:-

Jantar Mantar is a sundial and astronomical marvel located in the center of New Delhi. It was built in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur and is one of five observatories built by the maharaja during his reign in the 18th century. The Delhi observatory was the first of the five to be built. 

The name "Jantar Mantar" translates to "instruments for measuring the harmony of the heavens". The complex includes an outdoor observatory with 13 unique instruments that use various structures to observe astronomical cycles. 

The sundial is a giant triangle with a 128-foot hypotenuse that runs parallel to the Earth's axis and points towards the North Pole. Quadrants on either side of the triangle have graduations that indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds. 

6. Jama Masjid:-

Jama Masjid is a mosque in Old Delhi, India, that was built between 1644 and 1656 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It's the second largest mosque in India and can hold up to 25,000 people. The mosque is also known as Masjid-I-Jahanuma, which means "the mosque commanding the view of the world". 

The mosque is peaceful and charming, with amazing architecture. The mosque is located in Chandni Chowk, a quaint part of Delhi. It's open every day from 7 AM–12 PM and 1:30–6:30 PM.
